Per a recent TradingPlatforms.com report, the firm sold 1.857 million EVs in 2022. That represented a 213% leap from its 2021 figures of roughly 593K units.
Edith Reads, TradingPlatforms investments expert, weighed in on the company’s exceptional performance. She explained,
“BYD’s year-on-year growth in EV sales is nothing short of exceptional. This surge not only demonstrates the market’s increasing appetite for EVs. But it also underscores the carmaker’s pivotal role in driving this transformation. We cant overstate the impact of such a remarkable uptick.”

BYD maakt sinds 1995 al batterijen en is ondertussen uitgegroeid tot het best verkopende automerk in China. Of ze met de BYD Atto 3 een rol kunnen spelen in België en/of Europa, gaan wij na in deze test.
TEST: BYD Tang, enig in zijn soort
BYD (Build Your Dreams) maakt al heel lang elektrische auto’s, bussen en vrachtwagens in China. Het is in hun thuisland een grote speler. Nu willen ze voet aan de grond krijgen in Europa. Benieuwd of dit lukt. Wij gaan op pad met hun SUV, de Tang. De naamgeving doet misschien wat wenkbrauwen fronsen, maar of dat ook zo is met het geheel als auto, gaan wij na in deze test.
